ABOUT BASKETBALL CLINICS
Coastal sports is now partnering with Drills, Skills and Thrills Basketball to offer professional basketball clinics that teach the fundamental skills
of the game in a fun, safe, instructional setting. Clinic topics include dribbling, shooting, passing, and defensive footwork, as well as more advanced offensive and defensive team concepts. The goal of each program is to push players to reach the next level. Coastal Basketball Clinics promote a “love of the game” and teach through intensive individual and small group drill work along with controlled scrimmages. Our motto is, “Great teams are made in the winter, but great players are made in the off season.”

SESSION 2, K-3RD GRADE:
Learn to play the game the right way from the start! Our k-3 clinic offers a fun, safe, instructional program that teaches through exciting drill work and controlled scrimmages!
SESSION 2, 4TH-7TH GRADE:
Take your game to the next level! This clinic will focus on advanced ball handling, shooting, passing and footwork drills and skills that will make you a better player!
WINTER BIDDY BASKETBALL
The goal of this basketball training is to have fun and learn the fundamental skills necessary to play the game of basketball. You only get one chance to make a first impression!
- 8 week program
- Friday, 5-6pm
- Dates for Session 1: Dec. 2, 9, 16 | Jan. 6, 13, 20, 27 | Feb. 3
- Dates for Session 2: Feb. 10, 17, 24 | Mar. 3, 10, 17, 24, 31
- Fee: $159. Each player receives a free reversible jersey
- 40 mins. instruction and 20 mins. controlled scrimmages

HIGH INTENSITY HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL WORKOUTS
Prepare for the upcoming season through competitive training that emphasizes advanced individual and team skill training as well as basketball specific speed and agility training.
Coastal Basketball and The DST STaff knows what it takes to be a successful play on the high school level and will help you get there!
- Dates: March 17, 24, 31
- Age: 9th – 12th grade, co-ed
- Time: 6pm – 7pm
- Fee: $59 for all 3 sessions

Boys: 7-9 yrs old, 4-5pm | Boys: 14-16 yrs old, 4-5pm
Boys: 10-13 yrs old, 5-6pm | Girls: 9-14 yrs old, 5-6pm
The program is intended for young athletes in 2nd-12th grade who have the drive and desire to further develop their basketball skills. The programs are led by high-level coaches who use a unique athletic development philosophy to teach and challenge athletes to reach their potential.
Our program will develop their individual skills as well as promote teamwork and sportsmanship and give young athletes the opportunity to play at a high level of competition against other local, regional, and national teams (travel programs) in leagues and tournaments.
AAU Season: March 18th – June 17th, 2017
Season Cost – $550
Minimum of 14 – 16 practices
Practice Day: TBD
10 – 12 League Games and 3-4 Tournaments.

Winter HS Intramural League
2016/17 HS Intramural League at Coastal Sports open to all HS players not playing for their HS teams. Boys Grades 9 to 12. (Must be in High School Now).
Join as an individual or as a team. Rosters of up to 10 players for teams. All individuals will be placed on Coastal House team.
- 8 Regular Season Games (2 Playoff Games)
- All games will be held on Saturday or Sunday between 8:30 am to 12:30 pm at Coastal East: 22 Madison Road location.
- Certified Referees
- $130 per person
- Start Date: December 10th & 11th
- End Dates: February 26 & 27

Director of Coastal Sports Basketball Training
Ken Ferrare is excited to begin his position as head basketball trainer at Coastal Sports beginning in the Fall of 2016. Ken has coached high school Boys Basketball for 24 years 18 of those years as a head boys varsity coach in New Jersey. During his tenure as a head coach Ken has accumulated two coach of the year awards as coach of both Voorhees (2000) and Morris Knolls (2012). Over the years his teams have won both league and county championships. In 2016 Ken was selected as an assistant coach for the North Senior High School Boys All Star team featuring the top high school senior basketball players in the state of New Jersey. In 2003 Ken became the founder/ Owner of Drills, Skills and Thrills Basketball camps LLC.
Coastal Sports Basketball Training Staff
Joe Ansaldi is currently the head coach at Roxbury High School. He has over 15 years of coaching experience on every level, from middle school all the way through the college level. In 2007 Joe was named Star Ledger Coach of the year as the head coach of Morris Hills High School. His teams have enjoyed success with an emphasis on individual skill development and individual improvement. Joe has also been a trainer for DST Basketball since its inception in 2003.
Jeff De Bell has coached basketball for 25 years – 18 years as head coach, 7 years head coach at Eastern Christian High School, 11 years as Head Boys Basketball Coach at Pequannock High School, where he lead the Panthers to the Group 2 State Finals for the first time in school history. Coach De Bell has surpassed 200 career varsity wins. Jeff has been working and running basketball camps for all ages for many years and has been on staff of DST Basketball for the last 3 years. He enjoys seeing the athletes develop and improve their skills.
BJ Hamby played basketball at Kean university from 2002 to 2006 scoring over 1,000 points. After college, he served as an assistant coach at Immaculata and Plainfield High School before becoming the head boys basketball coach at Parsippany. He has worked with DST basketball for 5 years helping players of all ages develop their skills.
Ryan Esdale was Born and raised in Roxbury, NJ, Ryan Esdale was able to advance his athletic career to the Detroit Lions Rookie Mini Camp. After a brief stint in the Arena Football League, Ryan turned his full attention to promoting the athleticism of others as an assistant football coach at the Division 1 FCS level. Three years of coaching college football led Ryan to return to his native NJ roots to become a high school guidance counselor and coach of football and basketball at Morris Knolls High School where he was the strength and conditioning coach for both programs.
Tyler Daniel was a 3 year starter and all league stand out player at Morris Knolls High School. After high school Tyler had a successful career on the collegiate level at New England College. From 2010-2016 Tyler was an assistant boys varsity coach at Morris Knolls High School. Tyler has a passion for the game and teaching boys the right way to play. Tyler has been a camp director at DST Basketball since 2008.
